So I was fortunate to know a fried that know a guy who kind of decided to sell his Duc…Now I am a new owner of this magnificent machine. First step, Maintenance at Ducati in Milwaukee ( They seem to be strongly recommended) ; Second step, Switch a shifter from racing to standard; Third step, Put new Power Pilots on…All this in preparation for a 1400miles southeast trip…

Rode a bike few times already and I just love the low end power…

Spring is slowly rolling in with better than expected weather for us riders. Chicago Riders (CREW) has started their bike nights at Villa Park every Tuesday, and they had their first ride to Lake Geneva on Saturday.

As every year we open our riding season with Ride for Frank, and this year that ride will be first weekend in June. Saturday or Sunday is to be determined, and type of memorial emblem is still being decided on.
This year we probably gone plane multiple routs and choose the best one depending on how many riders we have and how weather looks.

As far as bike night, there is a word that Murphy’s will host bike night again this year…might be something to check out.

So I started looking around for some Ducati’s not thinking it’s gone be as if I was hunting a Duc! Looked on craigslist, found one, no response. Looked on cycle trader found two, one was sold and other one I left a message.

So today I kept on calling a guy where I left a message and finally I get an answer…

So, he is selling 2008 Ducati 1098 with <5000 miles, for $11,500.00 it’s a private seller so finance is not available. In this economy you would think people would think twice before spending that kind of money on a toy. Yea right!
…sir we are waiting for a final payment on a bike and there are three others waiting, just in case final payment doesn’t go through! Thank you for your time, was my response.

This nice weather really caught me off gard, my bike needs tire, and oil change yet weather is so nice not to be out riding.

Anyone knows of any good webpages to order some bike tires for a good deal?
